The girls\u2019 teams were crowned champions, continuing their historic five-year win streak. The boys\u2019 team finished in sixth place. The girls\u2019 team win was led by state champions sophomore, Juju Cavalcanti with a team record in the 200 IM, and another team record in the Medley Relay with seniors, Kate Pelot, Sophie Fox, and Sydney Player, and junior, Mady Tulloch. After the race, senior state champion Sophie Fox stated, \u201chonestly we couldn\u2019t have won states if it wasn\u2019t for the people that stepped up and made finals when they weren\u2019t originally seeded to.\u201d While the boys\u2019 team finished sixth, they had team records with junior, Thomas Smith swimming a team record in the 100m Butterfly, junior, Chase Kendall in the 500m Freestyle, and two relay team records in the 400m Freestyle and the 200m Freestyle.
