Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) girls<\/a> lacrosse won their two most recent games against the Tocoi Creek High School (TCHS) Toros and Oceanside Collegiate Academy (OCA) to advance to the quarterfinals where the Sharks will have a bye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “This is my third year on this team, and I’ve seen the team grow. We hope we do well in the playoffs.”<\/p>Gracie Madson (11)<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n On Apr. 2, the Sharks blew TCHS out of water with a score of 20-4. This reinforced their amazing average of 13.2 goals per game and a total of 266 goals so far this season. Sophomore, Shelby Pare scored two goals and helped lead the team to an outstanding 13.2 average goals<\/a> per game. Junior, Lexi Rup kept saving shot after shot throughout the game helping the team win over the Toros. Rup<\/a> has a total of 68 saves so far this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Apr. 4, in a game against OCA, PVHS did it again with a score of 12-6. This was their second win that week after their loss against American Heritage High School, the number one seed in the state. The Sharks didn\u2019t let this discourage them though, and they hope to stay strong through the playoffs in the upcoming weeks. The Sharks played a strong offense and drew a lot of fouls allowing for five eight-meter shots, two of which they made. \u00a0PVHS is currently ranked fourth in the state and first in the county. Looking forward to Apr. 9, the Sharks play Nease High School for their first game of the district tournament.
