On Sep. 1, Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) girls’ volleyball barely scraped by with a win against the Nease High School Panthers (NHS). However, the next Tuesday made up for it when they swept The Providence School Stallions, 3-0, their 8th<\/sup> consecutive win in this matchup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt was fun to beat our rivals and play as a team in a five-set game.\u201d<\/p>Khloe Murray (11)<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n In the game against NHS, PVHS did not go down easily and took the Panthers to a fifth set where they won with a two-point win. The match finished with scores of 21-25, 25-8, 25-11, 26-28, 17-15. Junior, Vivienne Woodbury<\/a> paced PVHS\u2019 offense, picking up 20 kills. Woodbury also got some help from Junior, Jenna Hahnemann<\/a> who had 49 assists. Woodbury also made an impact with<\/a> her serves. She shared the lead in aces with Senior, Lily Keeley<\/a>, racking up four apiece. Freshman<\/a>, Allison Picklesimer led the team in defense with 13 digs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Sept. 8, the Sharks beat the Stallions 3-0, which is a huge step up from the slight win in the 2025 season. Woodbury once again led the offense in kills with 15 total. Not far behind was another junior, Khloe Murray, with ten. Leading serving was Hahnemann who had four aces. In addition to the offense, junior,<\/a> Briana Rihlman led the team in defense with 13 digs. Murray said, \u201cIt was fun to beat our rivals and play as a team in a five-set game.\u201d This win gives PVHS a winning record of 2-1, a great start to the season.
