The Sharks Fall Short to a Rival, but Finish the Week Strong

By Rocco Garcia

The Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) Sharks took on the 2-0-1 Creekside Knights on Nov.12 in a rivalry game. The Knights started off hot scoring in the 17th minute and once again later on in the first half. The Knights took handball in the Sharks box which enforced a penalty kick. Senior Striker, Thomas Arndt lined up to kick but the goalie stopped which would ultimately force a shutout. The Knights went on to score two more goals within the last 10 minutes bringing the score to 4-0 in favor of the Knights. The Sharks played a great team but have a chance to redeem themselves later the same week.

“We played a great offensive game combining with each other in midfield with our defense also having a lockdown performance.”

Junior center mid, Marcus Warren, stated “We played a great offensive game combining with each other in the midfield with our defense also having a lockdown performance.” The Sharks came out of half time with the intent to finish the game strong and hard. Junior center-mid, Jake Romano, scored to bring the score to 2-0. Then, senior left wing, Stanley Bishop, scored a goal to bring them to 3-0 and finally Churchill scored his second goal to bring the final score to 4-0.
