There aren’t many instances where teams face off three times in one year. In these few instances, pitting arch rivals against each other is even less common. Yet, Ponte Vedra will match up against Bartram for the third and final time in the Regional Semi-Final in the Shark Tank. Ponte Vedra is coming off an enormous 21-4 victory against Lake Brantley where the Sharks played in absolute dominant fashion. Senior, Addy Paul put on a clinic despite fighting an ankle injury and netted 4 goals as the Sharks cruised to victory.
While it may be easy to celebrate large playoff victories, Coach, Dan Toole tells his team they “must remain discontent as there are much bigger fish to fry. Celebrate this victory tonight, but tomorrow we’re locked in on Bartram.” This focused mindset should not shock any Shark fan as Coach Toole is one of the most decorated coaches at the school and has associated himself greatly with winning, and winning big. Senior, Abby Schupler says “It’s easy to get caught up in all the emotions; possible last home game, playing our arch rival for the third time, and our championship hopes on the line. But I have faith in my team. We’re all a family and we’re here to hold each other accountable and primed to succeed.”

Emotions will be running high in this “win or go home” match. Seniors on both sides of the field will be playing their hearts out, as it may be their final time strapping on a helmet.
