The Ponte Vedra High School girls’ basketball team faced their rivals on Jan. 11 against Nease High School and got the victory 48-38. Shark senior, Taylor Perce contributed by scoring 10 points and shooting two for two from 3-point land. She also led the team with a total of five rebounds. Another Shark senior, Kennedy Rosendahl, led the Sharks in scoring with a team high of 16 points. With those 16 points, Kennedy achieved 1,000 points in her high school career. The Sharks kept it close in the first quarter leading 10-6, then took away in the second quarter, winning the quarter 15-4. Coming out of the half, the Panthers brought the game to a close score, winning the quarter 8-19. Ultimately, the Sharks ended up winning, maintaining the lead in the fourth quarter. Rosendahl expresses, “It feels so good to get to 1,000 points, it’s almost unbelievable that I’ve done it over the past four years.” Rosendahl accomplished a very difficult milestone in scoring 1,000 points. The Sharks have two upcoming home games facing Sandalwood High School on Jan. 12 and San Jose Prep on Jan. 15.
