Saturday Feb 8, the sharks went over to Nease for the St John’s County championships. With 8 of our wrestlers placing. Junior, Talan Babin showed out in his weight class placing first and dominating the mat. 2 sharks getting second in their weight classes. Senior, Brody Hines and junior, Emmett Hoffmann both with strong performances at the county championships. Two sharks placing third in their weight class junior, Daniel De Almeida and junior Enrique Santos, getting on the podium. And placing fourth in their weight classes, junior, Dashiell Hilbert. Sophomore, Michael Aker and senior, Robbie Grecco. Safe to say the sharks showed up and showed out at the county championships. “I was able to secure second place at the county championships. By getting a easy pin in my first match, I had a better gas tank than my opponent. The semifinals I started the match losing but kept my composure and secured the pin to end it off. It really came down to better conditioning and strength.” Junior, Emmett Hoffmann on his performance placing second in his weight class at the county championships.
