Sharks Boys Lacrosse Continues Their Dominance

The Ponte Vedra High School Sharks boys lacrosse teams next contest was against the Allatoona High School Buccaneers. The Buccaneers traveled all the way from Acworth, Georgia. The game started and the Sharks took control. The Sharks got the lead early and never looked back. At halftime the Sharks were leading 5-2. In the second half the PVHS continued to score as they went on to beat the Buccaneers by a score of 13-5.

The next matchup for Ponte Vedra High School was against Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles. In quarter one the Eagles grabbed the early lead, scoring three goals compared to the Sharks one. In the second quarter the Sharks started to crawl back, at halftime the Sharks were down 5-4. Senior goalie, Jackson Hume had a very strong second which leapfrogged the Sharks to their fifth straight win.

The next game for PVHS was a rivalry one. The Sharks take on the Nease High School Panthers. The game was filled with tense air all throughout the game. It was a very slow paced game on both sides as each team’s defense was stopping shots. The Sharks started to pull away late in the game and defeated their rival, as they played excellent in the win. PVHS moves to 6-0 on the season.

Senior captain, Brady Rice said, “It’s great to get off to a hot start but we have to keep it moving as the season continues.”
