On Dec. 12th, Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) faced off against longtime rival Nease High School (NHS) in a highly anticipated matchup. The Sharks came out strong and left no doubt of the winner, defeating the Panthers 65–29 in a dominant win. This is the Lady Sharks 6th consecutive home game win.

Sophomore, Jocelyn Hoffman once again led the team with 21 points and 13 rebounds, a new career high. Not far behind her were freshman, Audra Davis and MJ Cole with 20 points total. The Sharks held together as a team and played strong offense and defense. They had no problem dominating the Panthers in every way. They especially showed their teamwork with 19 assists. Sophomore, Allison Mahoney says, “It was a great game and I’m excited that we beat Nease.”
The Sharks now have a record of 7-2 and left the Panthers with 5-3. PVHS looks forward to playing again on their home court next week against Bishop Snyder. Ponte Vedra High School has started off strong and hopes to continue the streak in the upcoming weeks.
