On Oct. 25, Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) lost to Chiles High School (CHS) in a playoff game. The Timberwolves won the game in a sweep, 3-0. This defeat signaled the end of the 2025 volleyball season for the Sharks, but the Timberwolves will move on to semifinals against Beachside on Oct. 30.

“The season didn’t live up to my full expectations, and we did really bad in our last game, but I love the team.”

Haydin Froelich (12)

PVHS took the loss, but they had steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. In the end, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-18. Many players had an impressive showing on offense. Junior, Lily Keeley picked up eight kills. Both freshman, Edie Joseph and senior, Avery Webb had two aces a piece. As for CHS, their players stayed strong on defense throughout the entire game as well as attacking on offense.

As the season closes for the Sharks, many players remark how the season was full of ups and downs. Senior, Haydin Froelich added, “The season didn’t live up to my full expectations, and we did really bad in our last game, but I love the team.” The end of the season marks the end of four senior’s high school careers. Although Froelich is committed to play at the University of North Florida and Webb plans to play at Virginia Tech.
