On Nov 21. The Sharks took on the Beachside Barracudas for the second round of playoffs. The sharks started off strong on defense by stopping the Barracudas from getting offensive yards. Then on offense, senior quarterback, Cole Rosendahl made an amazing pass to senior wide receiver, Davitt Doherty for a Sharks touchdown. The PVHS defense recovered a fumble off the Barracudas offense by senior linebacker Bennett Baumgartner. Junior kicker, Noah Ash kicked a field goal for the Sharks making the score 10-0 Sharks. The Barracudas offense fumbled the ball again and the Sharks recovered the ball. Rosendahl made a short pass to junior wide receiver, Alex Winkles for another Sharks touchdown. The PVHS defense held the Barracudas offense from getting downfield. BHS went to punt the ball, but the Sharks blocked the punt and senior linebacker, Talan Babin scooped up the ball and ran it into the endzone. The Sharks played an amazing first half with a 24-0 score. The Sharks came out strong the second half as well. The PVHS offense had a great drive. Rosendahl finished it off with a pass to senior wide receiver, Jack Berquist. The Barracudas finally got past the Sharks defense and kicked a field goal and got some points on the board. The Sharks offense drove down the field again. Rosendahl connected with Doherty for another Sharks touchdown. The Sharks defense held the Barracudas until the end. The Sharks won 38-3 and will go to Regionals next week against Mainland High School next Friday at home. “We may have lost to Beachside before, but we came back stronger and wanted it more,” said Rosendahl.
