Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) girls basketball walked away with a 61-52 victory over the Bartram Trail High School (BTHS) Bears on Jan. 26. This was payback for the Sharks, who suffered a 54-37 loss the last time these two teams met.
“It was a really fun game, and we really enjoyed winning against them.”

Freshman, Audra Davis led the team with 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. In fact, that is a crazy season high for Davis in points. Also contributing to the win were sophomores, Audrey Rosendahl and Julia Conroy. They scored a combined 20 points and worked together to help the team. All these players greatly contributed to the outstanding offense displayed in this game. Sophomore, Allison Mahoney said, “It was a really fun game, and we really enjoyed winning against them.”
PVHS has been on a roll lately: they have won three of their last four games. That has provided PVHS with a good record of 17-6. As for BTHS, the loss dropped their record down to 11-8. The Sharks went right back out on the court and have already won their next matchup, a 50-39 win against Andrew Jackson High School (AJHS) on Jan. 28.
