This year instead of colleges visiting Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) in person, there will be virtual college visits. Jennifer Lee, PVHS College Counselor, said, “Colleges will set up virtual during these times: 8:30 – 9 am, 12 – 1:30 pm (during lunches), or 6:30 pm.” Students can register to attend the virtual visits through Naviance on the College Virtual Rep Visit calendar on the Colleges home page in Naviance. Once students are registered for their college visit, they will receive a Zoom link to attend their college visit. Students should use their own device (ear buds are recommended) to attend their college visit. Students may request a space in the media center prior to their college visit.
College readiness meetings are also planning to happen this school year. According to Ms. Lee, PVHS College Counselor, “With the coordination of teachers, we will have college planning sessions for classes throughout the year as our schedules allow. Seniors should have a meeting in the fall and juniors in the spring semester.”
Due to the cancellation of so many SAT and ACT testing, the following colleges are making reporting of standardized test scores optional for applicants to the 2021-22 school year.
