The Ponte Vedra High School girls lacrosse team had a busy week last week, playing three games. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the girls faced American Heritage High School, taking a tough loss 18-4. No matter the score, we must always think of it as 0-0.” Although the undefeated Stallions bested the Sharks, on Friday, Feb. 24, the girls defeated Lake Mary High School, 16-8. The Sharks dominated over Lake Mary with seven goals in the first half, and nine in the second. “This season we are holding ourselves to high standards and expectations. We know the talent our team has, and I look forward to seeing the success that comes from that combined with a strong culture and work ethic,” stated senior captain Anna Taraboletti. On Saturday, Feb. 25, the lady Sharks lost to Vero Beach High School in an evenly matched game, 6-5. After being tied for the majority of the first half, the girls unfortunately came out short after a well fought matchup.
