PVHS Boys Tennis Obliterates Oakleaf High School

By Oscar D’Amato

In a stunning display, the Ponte Vedra boy’s tennis team claimed victory over Oakleaf in a blowout match. The match, held at Ponte Vedra High School, saw Ponte Vedra dominate from the very start with their home-field advantage. Led by their star players, senior Ofek Blank and junior Grant Price, the team quickly took control of the matches and kept on improving as the day went on.

Blank and Price, known for being the top two players on the team, proved to be too much for Oakleaf to handle. In doubles, they beat Oakleaf’s top two players 8-1 and then beat them both 8-0 in singles shortly thereafter. “This week really brought up the team’s morale for finishing the season strong,” said team captain Ofek Blank.

The rest of the team put in an equally impressive performance, with junior Allister Jones, sophomore Connor Vernon, and junior Ethan Glaze each winning their single games 8-0. This huge win puts the Ponte Vedra boy’s tennis team in a strong position as they head into the rest of their season. With the talent shown in this match, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming weeks.
