Sharks Football Continues Hot Streak Against Orange Park

On the night of Oct 18, the Ponte Vedra High School Sharks traveled to Orange Park to take on the Orange Park High School Raiders. The Sharks got the first score of the game on a passing touchdown by senior quarterback, Drew Price making the score 7-0 early. The Sharks star senior running back, Brian Case got his first touchdown of the game on a rushing touchdown to make the score 14-0 to end the first quarter.  The Sharks kept the scoring going when Case scored his second touchdown of the game on a rushing touchdown adding to the score making it 21-0. The Sharks defense held the Raiders to a mostly scoreless first half until they scored a touchdown to end the second quarter, but missed the extra point. The score was now 21-6 going into half.

The defenses for both the Sharks and the Raiders held up strong in the third quarter as both teams went scoreless. It didn’t take the Sharks long in the fourth quarter to get their first score in the second half as Case added to his rushing touchdown total making it three on the game and made the score 28-6. Once again, the Sharks defense showed up big holding the Raiders scoreless in the second half and only six points total in the game. Price added another touchdown to his total making it two on the game for him and made the score 35-6. The Sharks went on to win 35-6 making their record 6-2 on the year. Senior defensive lineman, Robbie Grieco spoke on the defenses performance, “we are all just playing as one, we have each other’s backs and that’s what keeps us going.”
