Monday night football in the Shark Tank, The Ponte Vedra High School Sharks hosted the Middleburg High School Broncos. The Sharks got on the board first with a field goal by sophomore kicker, Noah Ash. They lead 3-0. The Sharks got the ball back quick and senior running back, Brian Case broke off a huge touchdown run making the score 10-0. The Sharks defense was stellar forcing the Broncos offense to punt inside their own ten. Senior defensive lineman, Robbie Grieco blocked the Broncos Punt in the end zone and jumped on it for a Sharks touchdown. The Sharks now lead 17-0. The Broncos were forced to punt again, when junior linebacker, Talan Babin blocked the Broncos punt jumping on the ball at the Broncos 1-yard line. Senior quarterback, Drew Price ran in for a touchdown adding to the Sharks lead 24-0. The Broncos went on to get a touchdown of their own the score was now 24-7. Case then added to the Sharks score when he scored his second touchdown of the game. The score was now 31-7. At the end of the first half the score was 38-21, the Sharks added their final touchdown of the first half when senior running back, Jake Hilley scored.
The Sharks offense did not stop scoring as they scored first in the second half when Price found sophomore wide receiver, Camden Tietze for the score. The score was now 45-21. The Sharks defense held up strong in the second half as they shut them out the entire rest of the game. Junior quarterback, Cole Rosendahl scored the Sharks final touchdown on a rushing touchdown putting them up 52-21. The score would stay that way the rest of the game with a final score of the Sharks 52 and the Broncos 21. Rosendahl said, “that was a huge win, everyone helped in their own ways.”
