On Mar. 3, the Ponte Vedra High School Sharks took on the St. Joseph Academy Flashes. The game started early with the Flashes scoring in the first and then adding another making it 0-2. In the bottom of the third, senior shortstop, Jack Brady made it to third base and then home after senior third base, Cole Rambler, grounded out and scored Brady. The Flashes added on more and the score was 3-1. The Sharks came back when sophomore pinch hitter, Caleb Stanton, was hit by pitch and advanced sophomore left fielder, Maddox Tepper, to bring him home. The Sharks had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh and it all started then. Junior center field, Luca Candella, singled and scored senior second basemen, Grady Hartman to tie the game at 3-3. But the Sharks ran out of luck, the Flashes scored three runs in the top of the eighth and the Sharks couldn’t come back. Senior pitcher, Roshan Patel, said, “It wasn’t our best game, we had chances to win in extra innings but came short. We need to learn how to finish games.” The final score of the game was 6-3 in favor of the Flashes. The Sharks will take on the Bishop Snyder Cardinals on Mar. 6.

The game started out early with the Cardinals scoring in the first inning off of an error. The rest of the game was controlled completely by the Cardinals. Errors killed the boys as most of the hits were routine plays but ended up as hits and runs scored. The score was 7-0 until the bottom of the fourth. Stanton singled and scored junior shortstop, Luke Goerge. The rest of the game was not in the Sharks favor. The boys got mercy ruled in the fifth inning with the final score of 11-1.
