On Mar. 10, the Ponte Vedra High School Sharks were scheduled to play the Sandalwood Saints. Unfortunately, the game was rescheduled due to inclement weather but took on the St. Joseph Academy Flashes on Mar. 12. The Sharks got on the board first in the top of the second when junior first baseman, Storm Lickliter, singled scoring senior third baseman, Cole Rambler. The Flashes responded by scoring two more runs in the bottom of the second. In the bottom of the third, errors did not help the Sharks out. Errors, sacrifice fly’s, fielder’s choice, made the score 6-1. The Flashes added another four runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Sharks attempted to rally late and added two more runs in the top of the sixth. The Sharks took another loss to the Flashes with a final score of 10-3. The Sharks doubled the Flashes hits yet still lost off of errors. The Sharks plan to take on the Baker Country Wildcats the next day on Mar. 13.

The Sharks began their spring break games with a matchup against the Orange Park Raiders on Mar. 17. Rambler stated, “We have been playing extremely well! Our defense can get better and limit the errors.” This game was a total domination by the boys tallying a total of 11 runs while the raiders scoring one, run ruing the Raiders in the sixth inning. Junior pitcher, Max Mracek, earned the win for the boys allowing one run scored and three total hits. The Sharks brought their talent to a game against the Fletcher Senators with another game in the boy’s favor. The Sharks brought it to the Senators with a total of 13 hits compared to the Senators four total hits. Senior pitcher, Aspen McAdoo, earned the win for the Sharks allowing one hit and zero runs. The starting pitcher, CJ McKenzie, gave up three hits and two runs over the three innings played. The final score of the game was 8-2 in favor of the Sharks.
The boys played a double header on Mar. 19 against the Terry Parker Braves and the Sandalwood Saints. The Sharks got on the board first in the bottom of the second with sophomore outfielder, Maddox Tepper, drawing a walk scoring a run and junior first baseman, James Salvati, also drawing a walk. The Sharks earned seven runs in the bottom of the second. Senior starting pitcher, Roshan Patel, earned the win for the Sharks allowing a total of two hits and zero runs between the two innings pitched. That same afternoon, the boys faced off against the Saints once again. Storm Lickliter drew a walk with the bases loaded scoring one run. Rambler led the team with two runs batted in. Sophomore Caleb Stanton and junior Steele Lickliter each tallied two hits. Storm Lickliter earned the win for the boys giving up six hits and one run over seven total innings leading the Sharks to a commanding win and final score of 5-1.
