On the weekend of Jan. 9th Ponte Vedra High School (PVHS) took a loss against Beachside High School (BHS) but bounced back for a win against Fletcher High School (FHS) the next day. The loss against the Barracudas was their first loss at home this season. It was a close game with a score of 69-65. As for the game against the Senators, the Sharks proved their skill with a 54-30 win; their eighth game won by 21 plus points.

Julia Conroy (10)
Despite the loss against the Barracudas, sophomore Jocelyn Hoffman stepped up and shot 42% and had 15 points. Along with that, she helped the team with six assists and five rebounds. Also helping was Sophomore, Julia Conroy, with five assists. PVHS shook off the loss and delivered a commanding win the next day. Aiding to that was sophomore, Chloe Spencer-Gardener and Conroy. Together, they scored 24 points. Junior, Camila Felsing was another key player, putting up nine points. Ponte Vedra High School was amazing on offensive and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That is the most offensive boards they have managed all season. Conroy says, “Although we lost on Friday, I’m happy we won Saturday and played well.”
Overall, this weekend set the tone for how the Sharks plan to finish the season- determined and resilient. Looking ahead, PVHS will play Bolles and Nease High School in the upcoming week.
