The Newly Renovated Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

By: Audrey Rosendahl

At 1050 A1A N, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl is the newly renovated Concert Hall. From 1980 to 2011 the building was a church. Then it was renovated and turned into a concert hall. The venue was closed from May 2024 to July 2025. When the building was reopened on Aug. 1st, it became a spark of interest for the community of Ponte Vedra. The Concert Hall is known for its combination of historical aspects and modern entertainment. The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is managed and operated by SJC Cultural Events, (SJCCE), a nonprofit organization committed to enriching St. Johns County and engaging music enthusiasts worldwide through authentic cultural programming. SJCCE promotes performances by internationally acclaimed artists and hosts educational and community-tailored events aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts.

“I enjoyed the overall vibe of the concert hall and loved my experience there. I thought that this was a perfect venue to attend on a weekend or even a weekday due to its local location.”

The Concert Hall seats 1,100 people in a room with no seating with rock ‘n roll music one night and stand-up comedy the next. The Concert Hall has hosted many events that drew attention including, The Fab Four, and All Of them Witches. Tickets can be bought at any time from the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall website under Events to find tickets for many months in advance. The atmosphere is said to be very fitting and fun to be a part of. Anabelle Sonntag, a sophomore at Ponte Vedra High School, (PVHS) went to the Concert Hall and saw Jimmie Vaughan and his country songs. Sonntag said, “I enjoyed the overall vibe of the concert hall and loved my experience there. I thought that this was a perfect venue to attend on a weekend or even a weekday due to its local location.” Sonntag also said the price of $40 for a ticket for a perfect view was cheap and worth it. The Concert Hall has got nothing but positive reviews after the renovation.

Although it’s small, the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has brought people together to a place to enjoy themselves and fill their night with smiles. Having a local gathering place is great for the community and creates a night full of singing, dancing, and laughter. The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall was worth the renovation, and a great addition to the town.
