8/23/22 Game

The Ponte Vedra High School girls volleyball team dominated their first game of the regular season against Ridgeview High School. The Sharks swept the Panthers in three sets with scores of 25-9, 25-10, and 25-12. The girls had a total of 29 kills and 16 assists to eliminate Ridgeview. Senior Outside Hitter, Ava-Grace (AG) Redick was awarded “Player of the match”, according to Maxpreps volleyball, with ten kills and only one error. “I contributed to the team this past match by being a good teammate and supporting everyone I was playing next to. I also lead the team with the highest hitting percentage,” described AG. Ava-Grace has verbally committed to play Beach Volleyball at the College of Charleston. The team has high hopes for ‘sharkcess’ this season as Assistant Coach Raab claimed, “If our girls find their stride and come out swinging every game, we will take care of business”. The girls face Bartram Trail High School next Tuesday, August 30 in The Tank, in hopes to secure another 3-set sweep victory.
